Scope and content:

Included in the map collection are 265 world, regional, country, state, county, city, and trip maps from various collections housed at the Russell Library. Several of the maps were originally framed and hung in Senator Richard B. Russell's office. The map collection consists of the majority of the maps housed in the Russell Library; however, there are additonal maps that may be found in the individual collection finding aids.

Biographical / historical:

The Richard B. Russell Library of Political Research and Studies Map Collection consists of world, regional, country, state, county, city, and trip maps from various collections housed at the Russell Library. For cataloging and preservation purposes the maps have been separated from their original collections. The inventory below lists the title, date, scale, and physical measurement of each map. Also, included in brackets is the name of the collection to which the map belongs.

Arrangement:

The maps are divided into seven series: I. World; II. Region; III. Country; IV. State; V. County; VI. City; and VII. Trips.
